DeepFocus is a Portuguese company founded in 2023 by ISQ to contribute positively to carbon neutrality by use of next-generation, low impact, AI-based technology. We believe that AI technology can play a crucial role in a sustainable and responsible global energy transition and is key to ensuring and reducing the environmental impact related to the discovery and exploitation of critical minerals, clean energy sources, and ecosystem services.

Our Story

DeepFocus ideation started as a small proof-of-concept project developed by ISQ under the European Space Agency (ESA) small ARTES program framework in late 2016, which quickly evolved to a 2-year ESA demonstration project from 2020 to 2022. The demonstration was performed in close collaboration with several commercial and regulatory stakeholders located across the globe to help test and validate the AI-based technology and products developed.

Today, we are building partnerships with leading players in the blue economy and energy sector and are committed to proactively applying our process and technology to help initiatives focused in sustainable energy transition and climate change mitigation.
